Practice Areas
Public and Private Civil Law
Civil law governs proprietary, contractual and institutional relationships, both in the private sphere and in dealings with public administration. We act from preventive advice through to complex litigation.
Private sphere
- Civil liability: preventive advice on operational risk and representation in claims for material damages, moral damages and loss of profits;
- Real estate and property: structuring of property transactions, developments, commercial leases, land regularisation and defence of possession and ownership;
- Wealth and succession planning: holding companies, gifts with reserved usufruct and wills, aimed at the continuity of assets;
- Security and asset recovery: debt collection, enforcement of security and recovery of assets.
Public sphere
- Public civil actions and administrative misconduct: defence of companies and executives in civil inquiries and proceedings under the Administrative Misconduct Act;
- Diffuse and collective interests: consumer claims with collective impact, environmental matters and public property;
- Conduct adjustment agreements: negotiation of TACs with the Public Prosecutor’s Office and regulators;
- Expropriation: representation of owners and concessionaires in expropriation, administrative easements and compensation claims.
